Cream Cleanser with Chamomile & Calendula - Oily Skin
To create a cream cleanser that's gentle and hydrating, we had to add a few more ingredients than one of our faoming cleansers. But rest assured, every ingredient is still 100% pure and 100% natural!
Oily skin, as we've talked about before in our blog on skin type and our oily skin products, is basically an over production of sebum that clogs pores and leads to acne, black heads, and more. And, it is possible to have dehydrated oily skin or sensitive oily skin! The goal is to help balance your skin's sebum production, keep your pores unclogged, but also provide the hydration and nourishment it needs.
Aloe vera is a key component included for its' intense hydrating properties. Another hydrating component is vegetable glycerin! We love this product for its' many skin benefits, including: it offers superior hydration, it promotes a healthy skin barrier to help protect it from environmental or other harmful irritants, is non-comodogenic so it won't clog your pores, helps your skin age gracefully, and is as gentle as it comes. Chamomile hydrosol is water-based to help balance the water/oil barrier of your skin. It's actually a natural anti-histamine, so it helps reduce redness and irritation if you're suffering from a painful acne breakout, can accelerate the healing process from open acne wounds or scars, prevents acne, soothes irritated skin, helps give your skin a glowy complexion, and can tighten the pores.
Calendula oil is one of our other favorites included in this cleanser! It has a linoleic acid content of 27%, meaning it's rich in fatty acids, and is very rich in oleic acid! Calendula is known for helping to soothe red, irritated, sensitized skin, helps encourage skin recovery, encourages collagen production, is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, removes debris from the pores, and restores the skin's elasticity and helps reduce the appearance of scars. It's a skin powerhouse!
Lastly, sea buckthorn oil is included for its ability to regulate your skin's sebum production, which is the goal for oily skin types! It's also non-comodogenic, so it won't clog your pores! Sea buckthorn oil is great for balancing the hydration and sebum aspect of your barrier to prevent break outs and give your skin a smoother glow.
